The West Country is the The Inventors of Aircraft’s fourth release and was recorded in a two week period during the end of the summer 2010. The ‘West Country’ that the EP takes it’s name from refers to the South West of England were Phil spent much of his childhood. It is very much music about the past, with each track a reflection on a particular place and the memories that inhabit that place.
The Inventors of Aircraft is a London based music project helmed by Phil Tomsett. Prior to The West Country TIOA have released ep’s and albums on Audio Gourmet, Resting Bell and Serein (during it’s Netlabel period.)
